Revisit Plant Soil Model

We have agreed on ideas about the relationship between soil and carbon, and how carbon is released into the air. Now, add model ideas to explain how carbon is released from the soil.

1. Find your Plant Soil Model handout from the previous lesson.

2. Work with a partner or small group to add arrows showing how carbon is released from the soil. Remember, this is a zoomed-in view of what is happening and we want to explain in our carbon model how carbon is coming off the soil and into the atmosphere.
