Plants and Air Lab

Updated: Mar 11

View a lab to investigate what happens to concentrations of CO2 and O2 in the presence of plants. The question we are investigating is: What is the relationship between plants and air?

As you view the lab investigation, record your observations and findings on the handout.

  1. Make a copy of the handout or get one from your teacher.

  2. Read the procedures. Ask questions about the procedures and the control or condition you will be in charge of carrying out.

  3. Complete the first two columns on page 3 of the handout.

  4. Complete the investigation. Pay attention to the right column of your handout. This is where you will write your results.

  5. Discuss the final results with the other control and condition groups. Record their results onto page 3 of the handout.

  6. Discuss the questions with your group. Record your ideas.

  7. Be prepared to discuss your results and answers to the questions with the class.
